Kinross and District Ladies Branch

The aim of  the Kinross and District Ladies Branch is to develop and promote curling for all the ladies who curl at Kinross curling rink. They organise several events throughout the year which all members are entitled to apply for..

Previously, this was only open to members of the ladies only clubs, but this is now open to all ladies who curl for any club in Kinross. IF you are a member of KDLB then you will be able to join in with the following:

• The Morton Competition - This is a Scotland wide competition that is run in 4 regions. Our region includes Edinburgh, Borders, Kirkcaldy and Dundee, and we play a home or away game against each of these every year. Ladies who would like to play usually play in just one of these games. These are very sociable and include a meal after the curling. Games are during the day, usually, but not always, on a Thursday.
   
• Incoming Tours - when we get an incoming tour, such as from the USA or Canada, then we need to put out teams to play against them and ladies can apply to be on one of the home teams.
   
• There is a ladies bonspiel held in Kinross on a Monday evening in early January and ladies can sign up to play in it. Teams are put together, mixing everyone up so that you play with people you do not usually play with.
   
• There is a points competition. The format of this is not yet decided as it currently runs with 5 players from each of the ladies clubs, but we will be looking at how we can change this to accommodate ladies from other clubs.

KDLB also run the Kinross Ladies Open and the Kinross Ladies Open Pairs, but anyone can register to play in these, not just KDLB members.

Join Us

If you are interested in joining KDLB, the subs are £5 per year. All you need to do is email kdlbcommittee@gmail.com and say you would like to join, and we will add you as a member and email you the bank account details so you can pay your subs. We will then ensure that you are included in all our emails about events.

Support Us

You do not need to be a member of KDLB to support us. 

The main way that you can support us is to join our 100 Club. There is a draw each month and there are normally 3 prizes each month, the value of which is set by the number of people who enter the draw. So the more people who join, the larger the prizes will be.

The easiest way to sign up is to complete our online form, but if you prefer a paper form then this is available below for you to print our and fill in by hand.
